Blogging For A Cause

Calling all bloggers! The blogging software company Zemanta has created a goodlier than good idea: "Blogging for a Cause." By simply blogging about your favorite non-profit organization, you could help its cause. Here's what you do: after you pontificate upon the many reasons your non-profit rocks, add this code that you can grab from Zemanta's site to the end of your post. The five organizations that receive the most blog posts will get $3000.

As for I Heart Daily, we love Girls Write Now, a New York-based organization dedicated to serving at risk or underserved high school girls. At Girls Write Now a team of professional women writers help these girls explore their creativity and help develop their writing skills. Melissa and I may be biased since we both grew up always wanting to be writers, but look where we are now!

So between your fashionable posts about summer rompers, the Gossip Girl season finale, and how Spencer Pratt is a douchebag, make some time to blog for a cause. "Blogging For A Cause" runs through June 6th, so get posting and spread the word!

This blog post is part of Zemanta's "Blogging For a Cause" campaign to raise awareness and funds for worthy causes that bloggers care about.
