Winter Skin Remedy: L'Occitane Immortelle Essential Water

When winter dryness starts affecting my skin, I have a few beauty tricks up my sleeve. But one perfect product that stays with me in all four seasons is my L'Occitane Immortelle Essential Water ($27). I'm not an official beauty writer and I usually roll my eyes at phrases like "quenches skin's thirst" and "gives complexion a boost," but in the case of this moisturizing, alcohol-free toner, it's all true. In addition to its Power of Quench, Immortelle has a very light and lovely scent. I'm not a perfume person, usually, because I'm afraid I'll end up reeking of fruity notes or getting a floral headache (though I do love solid perfumes, which allow me more control). However, Immortelle has such a delicate fragrance that I almost feel like I've been walking among flowers and had some of their magic follow me home.

You know how people say that when you smile your body releases happy endorphins so even if you're not feeling happy at the moment, smiling actually improves your mood? Yeah, well so does this essential water. In fact, put it on when you're angry or sad and I guarantee you a little lift.

Have I made a good argument for this product or what? Seriously, I use it every day and think, "I really need to heart this!" Et voila.

PS-I'm strongly considering trying out the Rose 4 Reines Hydrating Face Mist ($11) too. It comes in a travel size, and these mists are the perfect remedy for that icky dry air on planes.
