Reader Question: How Do I Make My Eyes Look Bigger?

Today's reader question comes from highly-esteemed I Heart Daily reader Lexi, whose recent trip to the ophthalmologist has left her yearning for Bambi-esque blinkers: "My doctor recently told me that I have small eyes. I was wondering if there was a mascara out there that could help." First up, we have a tip from Amber, author of Beauty Blogging Junkie and pretty much the Dr. Phil of excellent makeup advice:

"Gals with smaller eyes should stay far away from eye liner, as it tends to make eyes appear microscopic. A few coats of mascara only on the top lashes will define your peepers while enhancing your eye-area real estate. I'd recommend going for one with an easily-wieldable rubber brush so that you can achieve volume and length with precision. I love Rimmel London's Eye Magnifying Mascara (pictured). Its brush manages to find lashes I didn't know I had and its formula is non-clumpy and fabulous for a $7 price-tag."

And here's a tip that Annie Tomlin, editor of BellaSugar, swears by: "Use an eyelash curler before applying mascara. For years, I thought, 'Yeah yeah, just another step, who has time?' But then I tried it, and it's amazing to see how much bigger your eyes look. It's like an instant pick-me-up for your entire face."

So, there you go, two quick and easy tips to create the illusion of bigger, brighter eyes! And if you decide to go the eyelash curler route, we have it on good authority that this is the best one ever.
