If I had to choose just one type of beauty product to use for the rest of my life, it would be lip balm. A bit on the mouth, a touch on the cheeks, and you're glowing. Now that I've found Jewel Alchemy's Ananda Organic vegan lip balm, I'm smitten. Using organic oils, butters and waxes, Jill Schwartz creates Ananda Organic balms that are tinted with mica and oxides (and occasionally glitter). Pink Peppercorn ($6.50, pictured) is a sheer pink color with a silver shimmer. Snag it in a set of three -- along with Kunzite, a light lavender-pink and Smoky Quartz, a nude lip shade -- for $15.
You can also purchase Ananda Organic balms in tins (I love tins!), and I'm particularly taken with Ripe ($8), a buttery balm that's tinted with Alkanet, an herb that creates a gorgeous red when it's infused with oils. You can even choose your own fragrance for this one -- Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Lavender, Rose Geranium or Chamomile.
Really, could you ask for anything more than all-natural flushed lips and cheeks this fall? I think not.
