The Runway's Best Beauty Trends

In the past, we've asked Beauty Blogging Junkie Amber Katz about the perfect eyebrow shape, how to get great bangs, and under-$10 drugstore make-up finds. Today, she's sharing the most chic and doable trends she saw on the runways at New York Fashion Week: Pop-art Eyes. "Orange lipstick was swiped on eyelids in a vibrant swoop backstage at Derek Lam (pictured). Makeup maven Tom Pecheux used a combination of Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lip Pencil in Coral with a shade of the brand's new Pure Color Lipstick in an orange iteration out next spring. To get your orange fix on now, MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Good To Go is loud and proud."

The Halo Manicure. "Backstage at Behnaz Sarafpour's Spring 2011 collection, Manicurist Roxanne Valinoti created a metallic 'halo' around the models' nails. To achieve the effect, she brushed a coat of CND Perfectly Bare Colour over a layer of CND Metal Chrome. Then she removed the Perfectly Bare Colour around the edges to produce a metallic aura."

Side Fishtail. "Braids are still having a major moment both on the runway and off. This season at Nicholas K, models boasted polished, glossy low-slung side fishtails. The shiny finish and smooth texture of the look produced a cool vibe echoed by the models' shades, which complimented the look. To create your own reflective fishtail, simply spray your ponytail with Aveda Brilliant Spray-On Shine before braiding."

Thanks, Amber! Tuck these trends away for next spring and you'll be all set, or test drive them now to be ahead of the curve (that's what fashion editors do -- it makes them seem almost psychic).
