Pura Vida Bracelets

I'm into friendship bracelets -- simple ones, made out of embroidery floss and in lots of colors. And even if I don't have a lot of friends, it makes me feel really popular when I wear them (kidding!). Which brings me to Pura Vida bracelets. The short story is: two guys travel after college, meet a nice dude named Jorge in Costa Rica; Jorge makes these awesome bracelets, the friends bring them back to the states, and with Jorge's help, a business is born.

Made from colorful, water-proof threads, these simple bracelets reflect the beautiful and peaceful lifestyle of many small towns in Costa Rica (pura vida means "pure life" in Spanish).

Versions with beads cost $15, and ones without, $5. There are so many color options that it's pretty tough to choose, but my favorite is the Princess Bead, which I pair with my tutu and tiara. (In the privacy of my own home, of course.)
