Donate To Japan

Just like many people around the world, our thoughts are with Japan as they struggle to recover from the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami that devastated the country on Friday.

Instead of passively watching or reading the news, we encourage you to take action and help in any way possible. Here are few suggestions:

American Red Cross. Go to their website to donate, text "REDCROSS" to 90999 to pledge $10 (charge will be added to your phone bill), or give through their Facebook page.

Lady Gaga Relief Bracelet. Lady Gaga is encouraging her "Little Monsters" to purchase a bracelet for $5 and to add an additional donation. All proceeds go directly to Japan relief funds.

ShelterBox. This rescue organization delivers the necessities to survive a disaster by sending a large box with things like a large tent, clean water, blankets, cooking utensils and other vital items to families in need.

Steven Alan. A new spring dress or help Japan -- why not do both? Through March 17th, Steven Alan will donate 15% of all sales to International Medical Corps.

Threadless: Design-A-Shirt. Artistically inclined? Submit your own design to the Japan and Pacific Relief T-Shirt Challenge. If your work is chosen, you will win a nice prize, and 100% of the sales from each shirt will be donated to relief efforts.

DIY! Organize a yard sale with friends, or host a bake sale or car wash with a group at your school. Any little bit you can donate helps, so everyone -- get busy.
