The Best Shoes For Spring

Oxfords are the perfect transition shoe to take into spring -- they're not boots (enough of boots!), yet they're sturdy enough to get you through those April showers. Cute with jeans, skirts, socks or tights, they're pretty much a footwear no-brainer. Do A Dance Flat in Red, Spotted Moth ($35, pictured). These shiny and bright red lace-ups come with matching laces -- your feet will be en fuego.

Perforated Oxford, Urban Outfitters ($59). Look smart and chic with these comfy oxfords -- an awesome alternative to black flats.

Bass Infield, Zappos ($69). You can't get any more classic than these saddle shoes from Bass. They come in various color combinations, but these are two-toned black and white, which are the ones that Bert wore, so I like them best. Trouser Oxford, Steve Madden ($70). These slip-ons have no laces, so you can shave 15 seconds off your morning routine when you're rushing out the door.

On a Wing and a Pair Flat, ModCloth ($90). A feminine take on the oxford, these off-white shoes have pretty details like a tassel flap and brouging. My feet just did a little dance just thinking about them.
