DIY Necklaces, Tees and More

Shelley Tibbetts has been helping out as a member of Team I Heart Daily, along with her work at She's the First, a non-profit that fundraises creatively to sponsor girls' education. We’re happy to present her fifth guest post, where she gets crafty:

It’s no secret we love DIY at I Heart Daily! There’s no better way to make a fashion statement than by (literally) crafting your own style. Need inspiration? UCreate is full of thousands of free tutorials and projects that will make you want to run to the nearest craft store. Here are a few of my favorites:

Personalized Script Necklace (pictured). What happens when you trace your handwriting with wire? A necklace inspired by Brooklyn-based Gauge Inc.

Watermark Tee. Apparently all it takes to make a really awesome t-shirt is Elmer’s glue gel (the blue kind), fabric dye and a doodle! Who knew?

Artisan Earrings. Add a pop of color to your outfit with unique earrings that cost just over $1 a pair.

Friendship Bracelet Kit. I don’t think friendship bracelets ever go out of style. Make a kit for yourself + one for your BFF and start knotting away!

Earbud/Headphones Pouch. If your tunes travel with you, this little zippered pouch might just be the best thing for your earbuds since Carly Rae Jepson’s “Call Me Maybe.”

P.S. UCreate loves featuring tutorials/creative guest blog posts! Have some crafty creations of your own that you'd like to show off? Submit them here.
