Best Acne-Fighting Cleansers Under $10

aveeno-foaming-cleanserI've always had problematic skin, and seeing that my AARP card-carrying mother still gets the occasional blemish, I'm resigned to decades of breakouts to come. I just rely on a few acne-fighting products to keep my skin (mostly) clear. I swear by this miracle serum, but I also wash my face twice daily with a cleanser specifically formulated to fight those pesky pimples. I've found a lot of these can really irritate -- and sometimes exacerbate -- my combination skin, but here are my tried and true favorites that keep my skin happy:

Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser, Aveeno ($6). This is my go-to daily cleanser. Morning and night, I wash my face with this gentle but effective foamy lather. This one leaves my skin feeling conditioned, soft and super clean after every wash.

Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub, Neutrogena ($10). Sometimes my skin tends to act up (ahem, about once a month, if you get my drift). I switch to this foaming scrub on those days.

Morning Burst Facial Cleanser, Clean & Clear ($5). Similar to the Neutrogena scrub above; choose at your discerning citrus-scent preference.

Apricot Face Wash Blemish & Blackhead Control, St. Ives ($3). St. Ives Apricot Scrub is legendary, but this product especially formulated for blemishes is equally amazing -- gets into your pores and really helps prevent breakouts before they happen!
