Read It: Banned Books!

banned books libraryIt's Banned Books Week, and you know what that means: We are here to tell you about all the books you "shouldn't" read (BookRiot has a great post about this) because we think you should buy and read them even more now! Amazing libraries around the country, like the San Antonio Public Library, pictured above, are creating huge displays to help you find the forbidden texts (so cool). Rebel readers, peek at this short list of some of our very favorite challenged and banned books (mostly for bad language and sexual situations, which, you know, don't exist in real life). Read these, love these as we do, and don't let the small-minded people win.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

The Harry Potter Series (now with cool new covers whose spines create Hogwarts if you group them together!) by J.K. Rowling

 The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

 Forever by Judy Blume

Looking for Alaska by John Green

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
