It's a simple issue: when the temperature is consistently below freezing, having good hair is a low priority. Plus, blow drying hair seems fruitless when it's going to go under a hat anyway. I've taken to putting my hair in a top knot situation, because 1) it takes 30 seconds to do and 2) it is weather-proof, impervious to snow, rain and sleet. Top knot for the win!
The only problem is fitting a beanie over my bundle of hair -- it makes a triangle shape, and looking like Patrick from SpongeBob isn't quite what I'm going for. That's why a thick, cozy headband ($16, pictured) is the perfect solution!
It lets your bun peep out, like it's saying, "Hey, wassup."
