September YA With Heart

You’re back to school, and between assignments and your social life, any leisure reading has to be well curated. So let us present September releases that will hit you straight in the heart. These are sure things:

♥ Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between by Jennifer E. Smith. The summer after high school graduation is an emotional roller-coaster of endings and beginnings. This lovely, fun, fast-paced book captures the ride in a single night — you’ll fall in love and get your heart broken simultaneously.

♥ Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. She’s lived all of her 18 years in a bubble with life-threatening allergies; he’s the new boy next door. Through illustrations, diary entries and charming, witty banter you’ll watch them both take heart-pounding risks for each other.

♥ Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy. Willowdean is a self-proclaimed fat girl who will grab your heart from page one, even before she falls in love and enters a beauty pageant to get her once rock-solid confidence back.

♥ Infinite in Between by Carolyn Mackler. This book follows five teenagers through four years of high school, and what appear to be very separate experiences are deftly woven together to show us how much we can affect other people without knowing.
