February Netflix is Amazing

That image to your left? It's a serious movie poster from 1989. And today on Netflix, Teen Witchstreams again. Top That! (Sorry, inside joke for those who've seen this film, which you must.) Let us tell you about a few bits of stellar entertainment this month:

First, Teen Witch: Gawky Louise Miller (played by Robyn Lively, Blake's older sister) is, in true 80s style, dying to date the high school football star. But she's shy. Luckily, she's about to learn that she has powers, and she'll use them, naturally, to become "the most popular girl." Watch it for her little brother's weirdness and some truly glorious song-and-dance numbers.

In addition to Teen Witch, today is the day you can stream a little movie called Armageddon. In this late-90s version of the apocalyptic story-telling, a huge asteroid speeds toward Earth, and an oil driller is tapped to try to split the rock before it hits and destroys the planet. Watch it for Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler — and stay for the unshakeable earworm of a song by Liv's dad's band, Aerosmith. You "Don't Want to Miss a Thing."

Later this month (sorry, you have to wait until 2/26): Fuller House. In this Netflix Original series, the Tanner family is back together (at least in the first episode, which reunites nearly the entire cast). The story now is that DJ needs her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy to move in and help her raise her three boys. Nostalgia is high, and we're in.
